Natural Gas - General Update

Natural Gas touches 1-month low on milder Weather Forecast
General Overview

It seems that there is an end to the extreme cold period North America has endured during the past month.  On the NYMEX February decreased by nearly 1.2% to $4.16 per MMBtu.

Many Clients are calling us asking what to do as the media has done a great job hyping the increases in rates in past weeks.  Fact is, we are still well below what investors would like to see rates at, however we anticipate there should be some great opportunities during 2014 to layer in some protection for the coming year.

In Ontario Utilities have rates set for the reminder of this winter at a very comfortable level and Client who had the option to default to system have done quite well.

Clients need to be positioned this spring and we are ensuring everyone is acting in their best interest with their corporate objectives in mind.  We can expect another cold front as the milder weather expected for the weekend should be limited hence customers can expect a spike in price mid next week when the cold returns.
